programme structure
The free, one day Boost Programme enables young people to understand that everyone has the ability within themselves to make good life choices, no matter who they are or what their background.
For secondary schools, each topic is led by an older student (aged 16-18) and structured to include a supportive introduction, an interactive activity, group reflections, and discussions exploring how to apply self-awareness and self-understanding to current and future real-world situations.
For primary schools, we have a shorter half day version of the programme that 15 year olds (year 9s) from the local Secondary school can be trained to deliver to younger pupils aged 9 and 10 (year 5).
Boost is not only delivered in schools. It can be delivered in partnership with any organisation working with young people. To find out more please email: boost@gloucestershire.police.uk
